Full details

This full-time, rotating-shift CRNA role at Trinity Health Livonia is in the Anesthesia department, with a sign-on bonus of up to $30K available. The nurse anesthetist will deliver general, regional, and sedation services for surgical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and obstetric procedures across the hospital, caring for patients from pediatric through adult age groups. The CRNA reports to the CRNA Manager and works under the broader guidance of the department's medical chair or an approved delegate.

Day-to-day responsibilities include completing pre-anesthetic evaluations and ordering suitable lab work and diagnostic tests, then readying the operating room by running machine checks, assembling supporting equipment, and confirming that all devices work properly. The nurse anesthetist prepares the patient for anesthesia, keeps a precise anesthesia record with related forms, and documents significant events during each case. After surgery, the CRNA escorts the patient to the recovery unit, gives immediate post-anesthesia care, and hands off responsibility to recovery staff. Duties also cover monitoring, resuscitation support, ventilation, and life-support care both in and beyond the operating suite, plus helping gather data and review cases for quality improvement.

Candidates need to have graduated from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor, hold a current Michigan nursing license, carry CRNA certification, and maintain current BLS and ACLS credentials.

Compensation is described as competitive, and benefits begin on the first day with no waiting period. The package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and a retirement savings plan with employer matching and contributions. Growth opportunities within Trinity Health and tuition reimbursement are also offered.
