Full details

A $30,000 sign-on bonus is available for this CRNA opening at the Shakopee surgery center, part of an Ambulatory Surgery Center group operating four same-day surgery centers and twelve operating rooms. The group cares for patients from 10 months of age into their late nineties, and the practice is expanding. Patients must meet strict criteria to be treated in the ambulatory setting.

Anesthesia is delivered across many surgical areas, including orthopedics, vascular, plastics, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, urology, single-level spine procedures and laparoscopic cases. The fast-paced same-day environment offers varied work. CRNAs collaborate with anesthesiologists and are treated as valued, empowered members of the team.

The nurse anesthetist is responsible for delivering safe pain control and anesthesia while an anesthesiologist or physician provides oversight. The role also includes providing resuscitation throughout the hospital and supporting the department's and organization's objectives.

The schedule runs Monday through Friday with no nights, holidays or weekends. The position is 0.8 FTE with eight-hour shifts, and occasional travel to alternate sites is required according to rotation.

Required qualifications include graduation from a nursing program and from an anesthesia school, a current Minnesota RN license, and certification from the NBCRNA or eligibility for certification for new hires. Candidates must complete credentialing under NCQA guidelines, communicate effectively, understand age-related growth and development, and hold BLS provider status under AHA guidelines.

Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in anesthesia or a related field, active participation in a professional organization, and computer keyboarding skills. The employer offers a benefits package for eligible roles covering medical and dental insurance, retirement, paid time away, insurance options, tuition reimbursement, an employee assistance program and an onsite clinic.
