Full details

The Assistant Chief CRNA in Roseville oversees nurse anesthetist services and daily operations, helping with recruitment, retention, staffing models, and clinical workflows. The role involves building collaboration with interdisciplinary partners, putting protocols and performance standards into practice, giving input on budgeting and resource decisions, and advancing the professional growth of the team.

Clinically, the position provides and supervises safe anesthesia care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. The anesthetist develops individualized care plans, supports high-risk and emergency cases, explains anesthetic plans and risks to patients and their families, and practices patient-centered care that respects diverse populations.

Documentation and quality work are also central to the role. The position ensures anesthesia records are accurate and timely, helps prepare for surveys and compliance reviews, supplies audit materials and reports, reviews patient outcome data, and assesses new anesthesia technologies. It also supports adherence to institutional policy, state rules, and national standards, and takes part in quality assurance activities and peer review.

Leadership responsibilities include mentoring, training, and coaching anesthesia staff, offering continuing education access, leading case discussions, and, where applicable, helping coordinate clinical rotations for students from accredited programs. The Assistant Chief CRNA also gives team members performance feedback, removes obstacles to performance, and sets work plans aligned with operational priorities.
