Full details

This per-diem CRNA position is based at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, a Level 1 trauma center and approved transplant center. The posting lists a pay range of $175.00 to $175.00 and states the role is not benefits eligible, with zero hours per week listed.

Anesthesia opportunities span cardiac, pediatric and obstetric cases, including regional anesthesia and management of labor epidural services, as well as pediatrics, neonates and non-OR anesthesia. Shifts may be days, afternoons, nights or overnight call, with 8, 10, 12 or 24-hour options and optional overtime. Areas of concentration include adult and pediatric heart cases, liver transplant, obstetrics and overnight call.

The division offers chances to serve on committees and to teach allied health learners and student nurse anesthetists from the CMC and UNC Charlotte nurse anesthesia program. The facility handles about 25,000 OR cases and 22,000 non-OR anesthesia cases each year and uses 110 CRNAs.

Candidates need an active North Carolina RN license, a degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia school, and CRNA licensure, along with BLS, ACLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association. The role also calls for the ability to perform pediatric liver transplant and pediatric cardiac anesthesia, as well as spinal and epidural techniques.

The hospital is one of the region's teaching hospitals, with residency programs and a campus tied to Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Several specialty institutes, including cancer, rehabilitation and children's care programs, are located on the same campus. Charlotte is described as a large city with a mix of urban and suburban neighborhoods and a major business base.
