Full details

The community hospital uses advanced treatment technology and has 96 private rooms, with thirty of them convertible to semiprivate use for a total of up to 126 beds. Nearby, a behavioral health building with 28 beds connects to the main hospital by an enclosed walkway, and the campus also includes a 16-bed transitional care unit and a nine-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit.

Compensation is listed as a salary between $265K and $310K per year, depending on experience, along with a $100K sign-on incentive. The benefits package covers medical, life, vision, dental, disability and accidental death and dismemberment coverage, plus generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, and a 401(k) with profit sharing. Malpractice insurance is fully paid, and loan repayment and training assistance are available.

Case assignments include general surgery, urology, endoscopy and other specialties.

Responsibilities include delivering full anesthesia care across a range of surgical procedures, completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, and building anesthetic plans in discussion with patients. The nurse anesthetist manages induction, maintenance and emergence, monitors each patient's physiological status and intervenes as necessary, and contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
