Full details

This Perm CRNA position offers a high degree of autonomy, with CRNAs valued and trusted to practice independently. The anesthesia team is stable and works closely with surgical services. Weekday coverage is predictable, call is shared across the team, and callback volume is typically low. The case mix is varied but manageable, with a substantial share of outpatient and procedural work. The culture emphasizes professional growth and a positive working environment.

The role involves providing safe, high-quality anesthesia care across surgical and procedural cases. Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessments and post-anesthesia evaluations, inducing, maintaining, and emerging patients from anesthesia, and managing airways and intubation when needed. The CRNA monitors and supports vital functions throughout each case and coordinates with surgeons, nursing, and perioperative staff. Shared call covers weekends and nights according to the team rotation. The schedule is a rotating shift, and the work is on-site.

Candidates should be graduates of an accredited nursing program and a school of anesthesia for nurses. They need an active Alabama RN license with CRNA designation, current AANA CRNA certification, and BLS and ACLS credentials. Prior CRNA experience is preferred. Compensation is listed as a salary of approximately $149 per hour.

The position is located in southeast Alabama, in a welcoming community with a slower pace of life. The cost of living is lower than in many larger metro areas, and there is easy access to parks, trails, and weekend getaways. Winters are mild and the climate is generally warm, which supports year-round outdoor activities.
