Full details

The position is for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with Highlands Anesthesia Services, offered on a full-time or part-time morning schedule, or on a flexible as-needed basis. The advertised pay runs from $185,000 to $248,986 per year, and a $45,000 new hire sign-on bonus may be available.

The role centers on delivering anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for a wide variety of surgical cases and diagnostic procedures, including cardio-thoracic operations and cardiac catheterizations. The nurse anesthetist also takes part in teaching students enrolled in nurse anesthesia training.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and work experience cannot be used in place of that schooling. Required credentials include Alabama APN certification with the CRNA specialty, plus current ACLS, BLS through the American Heart Association, and PALS through the American Heart Association.

Eligible employees may receive a range of perks, such as access to substantial tuition support, generous time off, counseling and wellness resources, paid parental leave, and status as a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. The posting describes UAB Medicine as Alabama's largest health system, with more than 2,000 physicians, a flagship academic hospital in Birmingham, and community hospitals and clinics across the state.
