This part-time CRNA position at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, offers a pay range of $101,750 to $136,942 per year. Scheduled hours run from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and weekend work alternates so that one weekend includes both Saturday and Sunday and the next includes only one of those days, with the pattern repeating every other weekend.

The anesthetist will deliver anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist across a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures, as well as cardiothoracic operations and cardiac catheterizations. The role also includes taking part in the clinical teaching of students in nurse anesthesia programs.

Candidates must hold a degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, since work experience cannot be substituted for that education. They also need current Alabama Board of Nursing certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse with the CRNA specialty, plus current ACLS, BLS through the American Heart Association, and PALS through the American Heart Association.
