Full details

This PRN position at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford places a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist on a weekday schedule, with shifts of eight or ten hours from Monday through Friday. Call is optional, and the role is described as having flexible coverage. The posting lists a pay rate of $150 per hour.

The medical center is described as a large regional facility offering broad surgical and specialty care. The case mix is varied, perioperative workflows are efficient, and the anesthesia team is presented as collaborative, with a good degree of independent practice for each CRNA.

The provider, LifeLinc Anesthesia, is a comprehensive anesthesia management company founded in 2003. Its LifeLinc Academy supports continuing education and CME credits, and its LEAP leadership program prepares providers for clinical leadership roles. The company says it aims to support long-term working relationships with its providers.

Duties include a pre-anesthetic assessment with documentation, requesting consultations and diagnostic tests, ordering pre-procedure medications and fluids, and obtaining informed consent. The CRNA also manages airways, oversees emergence and recovery, discharges patients from the post-anesthesia area, provides follow-up care for anesthesia complications, and responds to emergencies using advanced or basic life support. The CRNA is expected to contribute to team goals, develop continuity-of-care standards, and follow AANA and federal, state, and local rules.

The position is not eligible for benefits. Professional liability coverage is provided by LifeLinc.

Candidates must be graduates of an approved nursing school and of a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation, and must hold current certification from the AANA Council on Certification or its predecessor. ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are also required.
