Full details
LifeLinc Anesthesia is recruiting an experienced PRN CRNA for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. The role pays $125 per hour and includes call opportunities. The schedule covers Monday through Friday shifts plus call, in an autonomous yet collaborative setting focused on high-quality, cost-effective anesthesia care. The position is not benefit eligible, since benefits apply only to employees working 30 or more hours weekly, and professional liability coverage is provided by LifeLinc.
The hospital has 153 beds and has been recognized for compassionate, high-quality care. Its maternity and childbirth services and its diagnostic capabilities for early detection are highlighted as particular strengths.
The CRNA will perform conscious sedation and MAC anesthesia on outpatient and inpatient cases. Core duties include completing pre-anesthetic assessments, requesting consultations and studies, ordering pre-anesthetic medications and fluids, and obtaining informed consent. The role also covers airway management, managing emergence and recovery, discharging patients from the post-anesthesia care area, post-anesthesia follow-up, and responding to emergencies with airway care, emergency drugs or fluids, and cardiac life support. Additional nurse anesthesia work within the CRNA's expertise is included.
Administrative responsibilities include helping set standards for continuity of care and case management, collaborating as a team member, attending meetings as needed, and staying current with AANA rules and local, state, and federal regulations. The CRNA must also protect patient information under HIPAA and complete the annual HIPAA exam.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved nursing school and of a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation, and must have passed the AANA Council on Certification examination. At least two years of independent practice experience is required, along with current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification. Applicants need strong English reading and writing skills, the ability to present information clearly, and general computer and Microsoft Office literacy.
