Full details
Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Milton, part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health system in Milton, Massachusetts, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for full-time or part-time work, with a minimum of 0.6 FTE. Shifts are either 10 hours (7 AM to 5 PM) or 9 hours (7 AM to 4 PM). The hospital works under a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team model in which anesthesiologists partner with a group of experienced CRNAs.
The CRNA would provide anesthesia across a varied caseload that includes general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, spine, vascular, urology, gynecology, endoscopy and other services. Responsibilities span the full perioperative period: assessing patients and building individualized anesthetic plans with the surgical team, delivering general, regional or neuraxial anesthesia or monitored anesthesia care, managing the airway, and tracking vital signs throughout procedures. The role also covers emergence from anesthesia, recovery evaluation and immediate post-operative care, including pain control.
Candidates need graduation from an accredited nursing program and an AANA-accredited nurse anesthesia school, a current Massachusetts RN license with the expanded nurse anesthetist role, and current CRNA certification maintained through NBCRNA requirements. The position calls for sound analytical judgment, physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to give all types of anesthetics with minimal direction.
The posted base pay range is $288,400 to $290,000. Where a person lands within that range depends on factors such as academic appointment, experience, specialty training, location, anticipated productivity and FTE basis. The role may also qualify for performance-based incentives tied to productivity and quality. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, along with retirement plans that include employer contributions.
