Full details

Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, part of Advocate Health, is recruiting full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join its anesthesiology team. The position is benefits eligible, runs 40 hours per week, and is based at the Mount Pleasant campus and the Racine Surgery Center.

The schedule is weekday days, Monday through Friday, with 10-hour shifts. The role carries no call, no holiday work, and no weekend work. Extra shift bonuses of $75 to $100 per hour are offered on top of the base pay.

The CRNA would provide general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care, including inducing and maintaining anesthesia, supporting life functions, and responding to abnormal patient reactions. Pre-anesthesia work includes confirming the physician's pre-anesthetic evaluation, reviewing test results, and checking equipment. After a procedure the CRNA stays with the patient until care can be safely handed off, may give postoperative epidural and other pain relief with the surgeon, and handles narcotic accounting. The role also includes responding to emergencies such as Code Blue and assisting with difficult IV starts when asked.

Candidates need a registered nurse license, CRNA certification, a Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license, and DEA registration. NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications must be obtained within six months unless the department leader waives them. A master's degree in nursing is required, and no prior experience is necessary.

Compensation is listed as a range of $99.75 to $159.60, with the posting also citing $121 to $159 per hour, or $251,680 to $330,720 annually. Incentives include a sign-on bonus of up to $100,000, a forgivable loan option, covered licensure and certification costs, $2,250 per year in CME reimbursement plus 40 hours of CME time off, and malpractice insurance. Paid time off starts at 30 days and grows with service. The employer states there are no non-competes, so locum work at non-Advocate Health sites is allowed.

Standard Advocate Health benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, family benefits such as paid parental leave, retirement plans with employer match, and an educational assistance program. Eligibility for some programs depends on FTE and status.
