Full details

This full-time, benefits-eligible CRNA role is based at Advocate Health's Burlington and Lakeland sites in southeastern Wisconsin, with a listed pay range of $99.75 to $159.60 and a 40-hour weekly schedule. The practice is CRNA-led and built around teamwork, providing general, regional, and monitored anesthesia for adult patients in elective and emergency surgical cases, along with mentorship, leadership development, and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities span the full perioperative course: pre-anesthesia evaluation and informed consent, premedication orders, and review of preoperative studies; preparing equipment, supplies, and medications; and delivering induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care. The CRNA also selects and administers anesthetics and adjuncts, manages post-operative epidural and other analgesia, makes post-anesthetic visits, and handles emergencies including advanced airway management and cardiac life support.

Candidates need a master's degree in nursing, a Wisconsin-compatible RN license, CRNA certification from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license issued by Wisconsin, and DEA registration. PALS, ACLS, or NRP certification must be obtained within six months unless the department leader waives it. New graduates and experienced CRNAs are both considered.

Compensation includes a $100,000 sign-on bonus with a forgivable loan option, covered licensure and certification costs, $2,250 annually in CME reimbursement plus 40 hours of CME time, and malpractice insurance. Paid time off starts at 30 days and grows with service. The position carries no non-compete agreement, so locum work at non-Advocate Health sites is permitted.

The Burlington and Lakeland area offers small-town character near lakes, trails, and farmers markets, with access to Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, family benefits such as adoption assistance and paid parental leave, retirement plans with employer match, and an educational assistance program. Eligibility for some programs depends on FTE or status, and details can be discussed during interviews.
