Full details

This full-time CRNA position is based at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, a teaching hospital setting known for its mix of city amenities and access to Lake Michigan and public transit. The practice is CRNA-led and works within a collaborative care team model, providing anesthesia for adult patients across elective and emergency surgical cases with a full scope of practice.

Core duties include completing pre-anesthesia evaluations, building individualized anesthesia plans, delivering anesthesia across varied surgical and procedural areas, and tracking patients through the perioperative period. The CRNA also takes part in post-anesthesia assessment and recovery planning, works alongside anesthesiologists, surgeons, nursing and procedural staff, and keeps clinical records current and accurate.

The role is listed with a pay range of $99.75 to $159.60, and the posting cites a base compensation band of $121 to $159 per hour, equal to an annual salary of $251,680 to $330,720. Guaranteed extra shifts carry premiums of $75 to $100 per hour above base, and a $100,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Schedule features include no call, no weekend work and no holiday requirements, with 8-, 10- or 12-hour weekday shifts available. Benefits named include 30 days of paid time off that grows with years of service, 40 CME hours a year, a $2,250 CME allowance, and student loan forgiveness eligibility.

Requirements include an active RN license, an APRN or equivalent advanced practice license in the state of practice, active NBCRNA certification, and an active DEA registration before hire. ACLS, PALS and NRP are needed as the site or role requires, either before hire or within six months of starting, and a master's degree in nursing is required. Experienced CRNAs and new graduates are both welcome to apply.

The employer's total rewards package includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, family benefits such as paid parental leave, and a defined contribution retirement plan with employer match. Eligibility for some programs depends on FTE or employment status.
