Full details

UChicago Medicine Medical Group is recruiting a CRNA to work on the Anesthesia Care Team at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Illinois. The position can be filled as a full-time role or as added shifts that supplement an existing schedule, with flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and a collegial setting alongside skilled anesthesiologists. A bonus package is mentioned as well.

The practice is physician-led and collaborative, and it is affiliated with UChicago Medicine, a large academic health system. The anesthesia services span many surgical areas, including general surgery, orthopedics, spine, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, and urology. Pediatric work is limited to healthy patients at the Ambulatory Surgery Center, with occasional rare cranial procedures and no trauma cases.

Responsibilities include completing preoperative assessments, building individualized anesthesia plans, delivering and maintaining anesthesia during procedures, and overseeing recovery. The CRNA also performs airway management such as mask ventilation, laryngeal mask airway placement, and endotracheal intubation, while coordinating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team.

Benefits described include additional paid shift opportunities, extra call pay, comprehensive medical, dental, and retirement coverage, generous paid time off, and a CME allowance.

Candidates need to be graduates of an accredited nurse anesthesia program, hold a master's degree or higher, and have a current, unrestricted RN and/or APRN license. National CRNA certification, BLS, and ACLS are required, along with at least one year of full-time equivalent critical care nursing experience.
