The position is a per diem CRNA role at PRIME St. Mary's Kankakee Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois, a 182-bed acute care facility serving Kankakee and its southern suburbs since 1897. The hospital is known for its nationally recognized peritoneal dialysis unit and a Family Birthing Center for expectant and new parents.

The anesthesia department works collaboratively across five or six operating rooms each day, alongside three physician anesthesiologists and seven CRNAs in a team-based care model that emphasizes every member's input and care excellence. Cases cover orthopedics, gastrointestinal, urology, obstetrics, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

Responsibilities include delivering full anesthesia care across a range of surgical procedures, completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, and building and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients. The CRNA also manages induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitors physiological status and intervenes as needed, and contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need a current registered professional nursing license, a degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA's certifying council. Pay is listed at $200 per hour for W2 employment or $210 per hour for 1099 engagement.
