Full details
This full-time CRNA role is based at St. Joseph Health College Station Hospital, a 167-bed facility with a Level III trauma unit in College Station. The hospital emphasizes a healing environment, with physicians across many specialties, including cardiology, neurology, and orthopedics, and it fosters a care team approach in which every member is heard.
The anesthesia practice assigns cases to CRNAs who work with a high level of autonomy. Typical cases include cardiac procedures, craniotomies, and regional anesthesia. Duties cover pre-anesthesia evaluation, securing patient consent, reviewing anesthetic choices and their risks with patients, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitoring physiological status, and carrying out clinical interventions when needed.
The schedule includes one 24-hour shift and one 16-hour on-call shift per week at College Station Medical Center.
Candidates need a current registered nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification through the AANA's certifying council.
Compensation is listed at $254K to $294K, with a $50K sign-on incentive. Benefits include generous paid time off, health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D coverage, flexible spending and health savings accounts, a 401(k), profit sharing for eligible practices, fully paid malpractice coverage, and leadership and professional development opportunities.
The hospital holds accreditation as a Chest Pain Center and a Certified Primary Stroke Center, and its joint replacement program is accredited by The Joint Commission.
