Oneida Health, a community hospital in Oneida, NY, is rebuilding its anesthesia team and is offering a per diem CRNA position. The hospital was founded in 1899 as a four-bed facility and now describes itself as an award-winning, technology-focused healthcare provider whose goal is delivering high-quality care close to home. The team works under a care team model and handles roughly 8,000 cases a year across endoscopy, general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, labor and delivery, and other specialties.

The role covers comprehensive anesthesia care for surgical procedures. Responsibilities include performing pre-anesthesia evaluations, obtaining informed consent, developing anesthetic plans with patients, managing induction, maintenance and emergence, and monitoring patients' physiological status with interventions as needed. The CRNA would also support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Scheduled shifts run Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm and 7am to 5pm, with beeper call on weekdays and weekends. The main OR cases include general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, endoscopy and obstetrics, and obstetric experience is required.

Candidates need a current registered professional nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. Pay is listed at $195 per hour for W2 status or $210 per hour for 1099 status.
