Full details

Oneida Health Hospital in Oneida, New York is rebuilding its anesthesia team and is seeking a full-time CRNA to join a new group serving a local community. The hospital, first opened in 1899 as a small four-bed facility, now operates as an honored, technology-forward healthcare provider with a stated goal of delivering top-tier care close to home. The department handles roughly 8,000 cases each year across endoscopy, general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, labor and delivery, and other specialties, and works under a care team model.

The role centers on comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical cases. Responsibilities include completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, building and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients, directing induction, maintenance, and emergence, and watching patient vital signs while stepping in as needed. The nurse anesthetist also contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership. Main OR work covers general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, endoscopy, and obstetrics, and prior obstetric experience is required.

Scheduling is weekday-based, with shifts running from 7am to 3pm or 7am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Beeper call on weekdays and weekends is optional and carries additional pay.

Compensation is listed as a $290K annual salary plus a $100K sign-on incentive. The benefits package includes health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D coverage, generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, a 401(k) with profit sharing, and fully paid malpractice coverage. Loan repayment and training assistance are also available.

Candidates must hold a current license as a registered professional nurse and have graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program. They must also hold current certification or recertification through the national certifying council for nurse anesthetists.
