Full details

Salem Hospital, a member of Mass General Brigham, is recruiting Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join its anesthesia team at the site on Highland Avenue on the North Shore. The CRNA I role is an advanced practice position in which the clinician, who must hold board certification and a current license, delivers anesthesia care to patients across the organization. Duties include reviewing each patient's medical history, giving and managing anesthesia, and monitoring patients during procedures and through the peri-operative period, along with keeping documentation of continued CRNA registration.

Candidates need a Master's degree as a Nurse Anesthesia Practitioner, current NBCRNA certification, and BLS and ACLS certification. A Massachusetts registered nurse license is preferred, as is prior experience as a CRNA or a new graduate with up to one year out. Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and related sciences is expected, and proficiency in a foreign language spoken by the patient population is considered an asset. The ideal person works calmly in an emergency, communicates well with surgeons, staff and patients, takes thorough histories, and keeps current with anesthesia best practice.

The practice is collegial, with CRNAs working alongside anesthesiologists as part of an integrated care team. New graduates receive a structured orientation, training and regular check-ins to help them adjust to the fast-paced acute care environment. The hospital, which is the largest healthcare provider and employer in its region, is affiliated with a leading medical school and gives staff access to world-renowned subspecialists.

The position carries a starting hourly rate of $134.62 and a sign-on bonus of $40,000, with details of the bonus discussed during interviews. The posted annual pay range is $280,000.00 to $305,000.00, and base pay will reflect skills, experience, education and certifications. Benefits, differentials, premiums and bonuses are offered as applicable.
