Full details

Salem Hospital, a member of Mass General Brigham, is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join its anesthesia care team on the North Shore. The CRNA I position is an onsite clinical role in which the licensed, board-certified practitioner provides anesthesia services to patients across the organization, including reviewing medical histories, administering and managing anesthesia, and monitoring patients during procedures and through the perioperative period. The practitioner must also keep documentation of continued CRNA registration current.

The practice follows a collaborative model in which CRNAs work alongside anesthesiologists as an integrated care team. Newer graduates receive a structured orientation, training, and regular check-ins, and the hospital emphasizes mentorship, continuing education, and an academic medical environment affiliated with a leading medical school.

Candidates need a master's degree in nurse anesthesia practice, current NBCRNA certification, and BLS and ACLS certification. A Massachusetts registered nurse license is preferred, and experience as a CRNA or as a new graduate with up to one year in practice is preferred. Foreign language skills that match the patient population are welcome.

The position calls for sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and related sciences, the ability to work calmly in emergencies, strong communication with surgeons, staff, and patients, and comfort in a fast-paced, team-based setting. Practitioners are expected to stay current with anesthesia best practices and to uphold quality control standards.

The posted base pay is $280,000 to $305,000 per year, with a $40,000 sign-on bonus that the hospital will discuss during interviews. Final pay depends on skills, experience, education, and certifications, and the total package includes benefits, differentials, premiums, and recognition programs.
