Full details

Salem Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is recruiting Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join its anesthesia team at the North Shore site. The position is a board-certified, licensed advanced practice role within a collaborative anesthesia care model at a large academic medical center affiliated with a leading medical school. The CRNA provides anesthesia care to patients across the organization, which includes reviewing medical histories, administering and managing anesthesia, and monitoring patients during procedures and through the perioperative period. The CRNA must also keep documentation of continued registration as a CRNA.

Candidates need a master's degree in nurse anesthesia practice and current CRNA certification from the NBCRNA, along with BLS and ACLS certification. A Massachusetts registered nurse license is preferred, as is prior experience as a CRNA or a new graduate with up to one year of experience. Foreign language ability for the patient population is desired.

The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced, team-based setting, can work independently as well as within a care team, and communicates clearly with surgeons, staff, patients and the public. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and related sciences, skill in taking medical histories, a calm response in emergencies, and a commitment to quality control and current best practices are all valued.

Salem Hospital describes a collegial relationship between CRNAs and anesthesiologists, an integrated care team, a comprehensive orientation and training program, and regular check-ins, with extra support for new graduates. The starting base pay is listed at $280,000 with a pay range of $280,000.00 to $305,000.00 per year, and a $40,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with details discussed during interviews. Base pay depends on skills, experience, education and certifications, and the total package also includes benefits, differentials, premiums and bonuses where applicable.
